North Vermilion beats Patterson High 37-23

The Patterson High School Lumberjills fell to North Vermilion 37-23 in District 8-3A girls basketball action at Patterson Friday.
Nyla Holder led Patterson with nine points.
Other scorers included Erykah Singleton, five; Kem Williams, four; Kemiah Watson, three; and Alex Benjamin, two.
Patterson (7-8 overall, 4-3 in district) will continue District 8-3A action Tuesday when it travels to face Franklin in a 6 p.m. contest.
Berwick falls to E.D. White
The Berwick Lady Panthers fell to E.D. White in Berwick Friday, 59-19.
E.D. White came into the game ranked No. 4 in Class 3A in the latest power rankings.
Jordan Lipari led Berwick with 16 points, including four three-pointers.
Other scorers included Madison Carline, two; and Kloey Cuvillier, one.
Berwick (1-13, 0-7) will continue District 8-3A action Tuesday when it travels to face North Vermilion. Girls varsity action is set for a 5:30 p.m. start.
Morgan City falls to South Terrebonne
Morgan City High School dropped a District 7-4A contest to South Terrebonne, 55-48, in Bourg Friday.
Sh’Diamond Holly led Morgan City with 16 points, while Laqwaijha Bourgeois also reached double figures with 15.
Other scorers included Elicia Dorsey, five; Alisha Singleton, four; Nia Lightfoot, three; Twanna LeBeau and Hailey Lewis, two each; and Meya Morse, one.
Morgan City (4-12, 0-5) will return to action Tuesday when it hosts Vandebilt Catholic in a District 7-4A contest set to begin at approximately 6:30 p.m.
CCHS falls to Gueydan
Central Catholic fell at Gueydan, 45-33, in District 7-1A action Friday.
Gueydan took an 8-5 lead after a quarter and extended it to 15-7 at the half and 33-17 after three quarters.
Gueydan came into the game ranked No. 4 in the latest Louisiana High School Athletic Association Class 1A power rankings.
No individual stats were available for Central Catholic (11-9, 3-5). The Lady Eagles will return to action Tuesday when they host Ascension Episcopal in a District 7-1A contest set for a 6 p.m. start.
