Patterson and CCHS receiving votes in polls

Central Catholic and Patterson each are receiving votes in the latest Louisiana Sports Writers Association Class 1A and 3A polls, respectively.
Central Catholic received three votes this week after upsetting then-No. 7 Metairie Park Country Day, 34-21, a week ago.
Metairie Park Country Day slipped three spots to No. 10.
In Class 3A, Patterson received seven votes. A week ago, the Lumberjacks routed Berwick, 61-21.
Central Catholic’s District 7-1A foe, Vermilion Catholic, is ranked No. 3 in Class 1A.
In Class 4A, Morgan City’s District 7-4A foe, South Terrebonne, is ranked No. 9.
The top teams in Classes 4A, 3A and 1A all remained the same from a week ago with Neville, University and Mangham, respectively, each holding the top spots.
