Patterson golfers edge CCHS

PATTERSON — The Patterson golf team edged Central Catholic in a one-hole playoff in Thursday action at The Atchafalaya at Idlewild.
Both teams finished play deadlocked at 186, forcing the one-hole playoff.
In the playoff, Patterson’s Bryce Beaubouef finished even, while Central Catholic’s Chaz Galloway shot a plus-1 to give Patterson the win.
Individually, Galloway netted the low medalist by shooting a 40, while teammates Bennett Duffy shot a 42, Miles Scarborough, a 44; and Greg Landry and Conner Laiche, each at 60.
For Patterson, Beaubouef and Cade Thibodaux each fired a 43, while Larry Guillory had a 48 and Bobby Abshire and Kenny Singleton each turned in scores of 52.
