Prep boys' hoops playoff brackets set

Louisiana high school basketball playoff brackets have been released and area first-round games are set.
Patterson, Berwick and Morgan City each will play first-round contests, while Central Catholic received a bye.
In Class 4A, Morgan City (18-9) is the No. 19 seed and will travel to face No. 14 McDonough 35 (19-10) Thursday at 7 p.m.
In Class 3A, Patterson (16-9) enters the postseason as the No. 14 seed and will host No. 19 seed Richwood (19-12) Friday at 7 p.m. Berwick (19-12) is the No. 18 seed and will travel to face No. 15 Brusly (14-14) Friday at 7 p.m.
In Division IV, Central Catholic (13-10) is the No. 6 seed and received a first-round bye. The Eagles will face the winner of No. 11 St. John of Plaquemine (8-20) and No. 22 St. Edmund (2-24) in second-round action, which must be played by Tuesday.
