Robichaux Ford edges Taco Bell, 5-4

Robichaux Ford edged Taco Bell, 5-4, in Swampland League action Monday.
Braden Billiot led Taco Bell with a 2-for-3 performance. Cody Roberie was 1-for-2 with an RBI, and Justin Morvant, 1-for-3.
Daniel Gray took the loss for Berwick High-based Taco Bell.
Taco Bell coach Mike Thomas said walks issued to opposing teams continue to be a problem for his squad.
In junior varsity action, Taco Bell fell to Vandebilt Catholic-based Robichaux Ford 3-2 on a walk-off hit.
D.J. Robicheaux finished 1-for-3 with an RBI and a double for Taco Bell. Patrick Robertson was 1-for-2 with a double, and Kyle Pitre, 1-for-3 with an RBI.
In junior varsity action Thursday against Synergy Bank, Taco Bell fell 3-1.
Pitre, Robicheaux and Bradly Gray each finished 1-for-3.
Taco Bell (2-3) will return to action today when it hosts Reeco Rentals (Thibodaux). Junior varsity action is set for a 5 p.m. start with varsity to follow at 7 p.m.
Halimar Shipyard wins
Halimar Shipyard rolled past LaShip 10-4 in Swampland League action Monday.
Halimar took as much as a 10-0 lead heading into the bottom of the fifth, but LaShip made a modest rally with two runs apiece in the bottom of the fifth and sixth innings.
Central Catholic-based Halimar scored two runs in the second and one in the third before erupting for seven in the fifth for the big advantage.
Halimar outhit LaShip (Houma Christian) 9-4, while LaShip committed three errors.
Matthew Barbier led Halimar with a 3-for-4 performance with a double, a stolen base, an RBI and a run, while Samuel Guarisco finished 1-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and a run.
Other contributors included Sage Thibodeaux, 2-for-3, two runs; Stefano Guarisco, 1-for-3, an RBI, a stolen base and two runs; Tony Pennison, 1-for-2, an RBI, a stolen base and a run; Mitchell Lemoine, 1-for-4, two RBIs; Patrick Barron, an RBI and a stolen base; and Thomas Garber, an RBI.
Samarick Paul earned the win for Halimar. In five innings, he surrendered two unearned runs on three hits with four walks and four strikeouts.
In relief, Charlie Barron pitched an inning and fanned one.
Halimar Shipyard (4-1) will return to action today when it hosts Skipper’s Sporting Goods in Amelia. Junior varsity action is set for a 5 p.m. start with varsity to follow at 7 p.m.
Frank’s Agency falls
The Mustangs (Assumption) shut out Frank’s Agency (Patterson) 7-0 in Swampland League action Monday.
Sirbatian Charles took the loss for Frank’s Agency.
Offensively, Brennan Gouaux had three hits for Frank’s Agency, while Bryce Beaubouef had two and Jake Lagrange, Joel Singleton and Charles each recorded a hit.
Frank’s Agency (1-7) will return to action Thursday when it travels to face South Louisiana Bank (South Terrebonne). Junior varsity is set for a 3:30 p.m. start with varsity to follow at 5:30 p.m.
