Tigers beat South Terrebonne

The Morgan City High School Tigers knocked off South Terrebonne, 75-56, in District 7-4A boys basketball action in Morgan City Wednesday.
Morgan City outscored South Terrebonne in every quarter, taking a 20-15 lead after a quarter, 33-21 at the half and 55-38 after three quarters.
Makye Richard led Morgan City with 31 points, while Taaj Daniels added 22.
Other Morgan City scorers included Ke’sean Francois, nine; Jared Singleton, seven; and Zion Landry, DeAndre Long and Clifton Escort, two apiece.
Morgan City (12-16 overall, 1-7 in district) will return to action Friday when it travels to face Vandebilt Catholic in Houma in a District 7-4A contest set for 5:30 p.m.
MCHS Lady Tigers fall
The Morgan City Lady Tigers dropped their season finale at home to South Terrebonne, 50-46.
While Morgan City at one point had a sizable lead, South Terrebonne clawed its way back into the game.
No individual stats were available for Morgan City, which finished its season with a 5-16 overall mark and a 1-9 record in district play.
