Today’s area hoops schedule

Area teams will continue their prep basketball seasons today with two of the day’s games being played at home.
Morgan City (4-3) will host Central Catholic (2-2) in girls’ action with the tip set for 6 p.m.
The meeting will be the second in less than a week for the two teams as they met in Centerville’s Tournament of the Teche Friday, with Morgan City winning 42-19.
Meanwhile, the Patterson Lumberjills (4-3) will host H.L. Bourgeois in a 6 p.m. contest.
Berwick’s girls’ basketball team (0-3) will be on the road today as it faces St. John of Plaquemine in a 6:30 p.m. contest.
In boys’ action, Morgan City (5-1) will hit the court today for the first time in more than a week when it travels to face Franklin in a 6 p.m. contest.
Like its girls, Berwick’s boys (4-2) also will be on the road at St. John in a 7:30 p.m. contest today.
