All area bowling teams were in action Feb. 2 and 4 with Morgan City Lady Tigers and the Berwick Panthers both remaining undefeated this season.
The Morgan City Lady Tigers, who are 5-0 this season, defeated Central Catholic 20-7 Feb. 4 after knocking off St. Michael the Archangel 26-1 Feb. 2. Both games were played at Charlie’s Lanes in Morgan City.
Against Central Catholic, Hannah Pipes led Morgan City with a 520 series (157, 162, 201).
Other top games bowled by Morgan City bowlers included Meghan Amador (203, 139), Ali Tregle (155), Alyssa Rich (147), Cayce Keton (132, 146), Laura Nolazco (146) and Rylee Sartwell (130)
For Central Catholic, Ann Mary Dupuis led the squad with a 474 series (154, 140, 180), while Emily Price added a 445 series (190, 131).
Other top games bowled by Central Catholic included Alex Aucoin (152, 136), Christian Carbins (139) and Katrina Robertson (135).
On Feb. 2, Morgan City defeated St. Michael the Archangel 26-1.
Pipes led Morgan City with a 564 series (192, 178, 194), while Amador recorded a 520 series (179, 181, 160).
Other top games bowled by Morgan City included Tregle (152, 134), Rich (149, 131), Keton (138, 149) and Sartwell (133, 140).
Meanwhile, the Berwick boys’ bowling team also remained undefeated this season with a 4-0 mark after knocking off E.D. White 23-4 on Feb. 4 and Central Catholic 23-4 on Feb. 2. Both matches were played at Charlie’s Lanes in Morgan City.
In the Feb. 4th win, Quentin Kelly led Berwick with a 534 series (199, 182, 153), while Blake Bergeron also bowled games of 179, 165 and 155.
Other top games bowled by the Panthers included Mark Lemoine (172, 227), William Ledford (237), Aaron Barrilleaux (194, 169), Abram Gilder (200), Brandon Lemoine (179) and Chris Beltran (151).
In the Feb. 2 win against Central Catholic, Mark Lemoine led the Panthers with a 665 series (242, 217, 206), while Bergeron recorded a 644 series (173, 209, 262).
Other top games bowled by Berwick included Kelly (256, 224), Barrilleaux (212, 234), Ledford (150, 182), Gilder (202) and Beltran (168).
Josh Abney led Central Catholic with a 229, while Dave Laubach added games of 150 and 161.
Morgan City’s boys bowling team finished undefeated this week with a 19-8 win against Central Catholic Feb. 4 and an 18-9 win against St. Michael the Archangel Feb. 2. Both matches were played at Charlie’s Lanes in Morgan City.
Against Central Catholic, Hau Vo and Jayson Hidalgo led Morgan City. Vo recorded games of 155 and 191, while Hidalgo had games of 167 and 189.
Other top games for Morgan City included Gabe Hirshmann (240), Jason Myers (182) and Zachary Stewart (158, 156).
Abney led Central Catholic with a 562 series (226, 193).
Other top games turned in by Central Catholic included Nick Governale (200), Matthew David (177) and Laubach (154, 159).
In other action, Morgan City’s boys defeated St. Michael’s 18-9 on Feb. 2 at Charlie’s Lanes.
Hidalgo led the Tigers with a 524 series (164, 156, 204).
Other top games included Stewart’s games of 160 and 180.
Also Feb. 2, the Central Catholic Lady Eagles defeated Berwick 23-4 at Charlie’s Lanes.
Dupuis led Central Catholic with a 456 series (156, 154, 146), while Price had a 434 series (155, 141, 138).
Other top games bowled by Central Catholic included Robertson (157), Aucoin (137) and Alex Abney (134).
Berwick was led by Mickenzie Reed’s 466 series (149, 194).
Other top games bowled by Berwick included Haiden Derise (156), Josie Estay (139) and Shannon Derise (134).
On Feb. 4, Berwick defeated E.D. White 25-2 in girls’ bowling action at Charlie’s Lanes.
Reed led Berwick with a 516 series (177, 169, 170), while Estay recorded a 464 series (132, 162, 170).
Other high games for the Lady Panthers included Brianna Toups’ 137.
