The Morgan City High School tennis team met St. Thomas More Tuesday on the road.
In boys’ singles action, Morgan City’s Andre Steckler fell to Michael Tayler 8-5, while Morgan City’s Johnny Ha dropped an 8-6 decision to Parker Powell.
In boys’ doubles action, Morgan City’s Luke Matherne and Steckler beat St. Thomas More’s Taylor and Chanler Simon 8-2.
In other singles action, Morgan City’s Omar Ledezma and Mason Rutledge fell to St. Thomas More’s Patrick Fenstermaker and Riley Broussard, 8-1, while Morgan City’s Jadan Breaux and Zachary Ingram fell to St. Thomas More’s Expedie Larperouse and Carson Bond, 8-0.
In girls’ singles action, Morgan City’s Harleigh Price fell to Carla Ortega, 8-0; while Krystina Pitre of Morgan City fell to Daniela Ortega, 8-3.
In girls’ doubles action, Morgan City’s Jamie Scioneaux and Niki Ring fell to St. Thomas More’s Madelyn Haydel and Carolyn Meyers, 8-4, while Morgan City’s Emily LaCoste and Bailee Hoggart fell to St. Thomas More’s Sarah Maraist and Caroline Cryer 8-4.
Morgan City’s Caylee Deshotel and Faith Crappell fell to St. Thomas More’s Ann-Marie Fruge and Olivia Robicheaux 8-5, while the Lady Tigers’ Zuilin Mezano and Emily Boudreaux fell to Natalie Spielmann and Alyce Davis 8-6.

The Central Catholic Eagles and Lady Eagles faced Episcopal School of Acadiana March 3.
In girls’ singles action, Central Catholic’s Emma Thomas defeated Travis Dibbs of Episcopal School of Acadiana 8-6, while Ashley Daigle and Brooke Picou of Central Catholic defeated Kiran Ahlawalea and Jenna McKay of Episcopal School of Acadiana, 8-3.
Also in double’s action, Central Catholic’s Lynze Belle and Lindsee Case defeated Episcopal School of Acadiana’s Grace Pecarrero and Jillian Chin 8-1.
In other action, Kelly Swift and Isabel Giulfoiul of Episcopal School of Acadiana defeated Caroline Green and Sarah Price of Central Catholic 8-6, while Pecarrero and Alice Moty of Episcopal School of Acadiana defeated Elise Hidalgo and Kerrylyn Luc of Central Catholic 8-0.
In boys’ action, Central Catholic’s Gavin Wisdom defeated Sam Hebert of Episcopal School of Acadiana 8-5, while Daniel Holland of Episcopal School of Acadiana defeated Gage Theriot of Central Catholic 8-1.
In doubles’ action, Blake Feuer and David Guidry of Episcopal School of Acadiana defeated Sal Grizzaffi and Connor Hebert of Central Catholic 8-6, while Dev Banga and Peyton Feuer of Episcopal School of Acadiana defeated Luke Brinkley and Sammy Spitalie of Central Catholic 8-1.
Berwick faces Assumption, Vandebilt Catholic
In February, Berwick played Assumption and Vandebilt Catholic in tennis action.
Against Assumption, Berwick’s Parker Felterman defeated Steven Gros, 6-2, 5-7, 11-9 (super tie breaker).
In other singles’ action, Berwick’s Riley Credeur fell to Andrew Templet, 6-3, 6-2, while Berwick’s Andrew Adams lost to Jordan Bourg, 6-1, 6-0.
In double’s action, Berwick’s Jeremy Boudreaux/Nate Furlette fell to a team from Assumption 6-2, 7-5, while Berwick’s Levi Porter and Matthew Roy fell to a team from Assumption, 6-2, 6-1.
In girls’ action, Berwick won its three doubles matches with Mary Margert Sanford and Clair Parsiola victorious 6-1, 6-2, Emma Gray and Allis Armato winning 6-1, 6-1 and Abigail Askew and Olivia Orlando winning 6-0, 6-0.
In singles’ action, Berwick’s Jeanne Marie Hidalgo fell to Assumption’s Dina Crochet 6-4, 6-2, while Berwick’s Maggie Martin fell to Assumption’s Camille Landry 6-2, 3-6, 8-10 (super tie breaker).
Against Vandebilt, Berwick’s girls won its singles and doubles matches.
In singles’ action, Hidalgo defeated Alex Welch 8-1, while Martin topped Denee Ducet 8-2.
In doubles’ action, Gray/Armato won 8-0, while Askew/Orlando won 8-1.
Maddi Osburn/Anna Armato won 8-2 and Mary Catherine Reggie/Adella Guidroz won 8-6.
In boys’ action, Berwick took two of three singles’ contests as Credeur defeated Alex Falgout 8-1, while Felterman topped Evan Olson 8-4.
Adams fell to Will Angellette 8-3.
In doubles action, Boudreaux/ Furlette fell 8-2, while Porter/Stephen Theriot fell 8-5.
