Volleyball jamboree is Thursday at MCHS

Morgan City High School will host its annual junior varsity and varsity volleyball jamboree Thursday.
The action, which will be played in the school’s multi- purpose building as well as its boys’ gym, will feature junior varsity and varsity games.
In addition to the host squad, Berwick, Central Catholic, Patterson, West St. Mary, Covenant Christian and Franklin all will participate in junior varsity and varsity play, while Morgan City’s freshman team also will play two games.
Action in the multi-purpose building will begin at 3:30 p.m. when Berwick and Central Catholic meet in junior varsity action, while the two teams play a varsity match at 4 p.m.
At 4:30 p.m., Central Catholic and Morgan City will play in junior varsity action, followed by a varsity match between the two schools at 5 p.m.
Berwick and Morgan City will meet in junior varsity action at 5:30 p.m., followed by the two teams’ varsity contest at 6 p.m.
At 6:30 p.m., Patterson and West St. Mary will square off in junior varsity action before the squads’ varsity teams play at 7 p.m.
Morgan City and Patterson play in junior varsity action at 7:30 p.m., and Morgan City and Patterson will play in varsity action at 8 p.m.
In the boys’ gym, junior varsity action will begin when Patterson meets Morgan City’s freshman team at 3:30 p.m., followed by Patterson and Covenant Christian in varsity action at 4 p.m.
At 4:30 p.m., West St. Mary will meet Franklin in junior varsity action before the two teams’ varsity squads will play at 5 p.m.
West St. Mary’s junior varsity team will play Morgan City’s freshman team at 5:30 p.m., before Covenant Christian and West St. Mary will meet at 6 p.m.
At 6:30 p.m., Central Catholic will meet Franklin in junior varsity action, followed by the two teams’ varsity squads squaring off at 7 p.m.
Berwick and Franklin will end the evening with a junior varsity contest at 7:30 p.m. with varsity to follow at 8 p.m.
