West St. Mary defeats Patterson

West St. Mary defeated Patterson, 48-38, in nondistrict action Thursday in Baldwin.
No individual stats for Patterson were submitted.
Wednesday, Ellender defeated Patterson, 61-47, in nondistrict action in Patterson.
Ellender outscored Patterson 14-7 in the first quarter and extended its lead to 34-21 at the half.
Patterson cut its deficit to 43-32 after three quarters before Ellender outscored Patterson, 18-15, in the final period.
Jordan Butler led Patterson with 14 points, while Dajon Richard also reached double figures with 11 points. Other scorers included Drew Lucas and Kai Schexnayder, five points apiece; Tyric Garrett, four; and John Brooks, Khyri Harris, Kamiah Jones and James Butler, two points apiece.
Patterson (5-7) will return to action Friday when it travels to face Kaplan in its District 8-3A opener. Tipoff is set for approximately 7 p.m.
CCHS falls
to Gueydan
The Central Catholic Lady Eagles dropped a District 7-1A contest at Gueydan Wednesday, 53-27.
No individual stats were submitted for Central Catholic.
The Lady Eagles (7-7 overall, 1-1 in district) will return to action Friday when they host Centerville in a 6 p.m. contest.
