Allemand-Michel wed in Lafayette

Celina Allemand and Brett Michel were united in matrimony at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Lafayette on May 8. The Rev. Brian Taylor officiated the 7 p.m. double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Paul and Penny Allemand of Cut Off. The groom is the son of Tessie Michel of Morgan City and the late Michael Michel.
Music for the ceremony was by organist Karen Guidry.
For her wedding, the bride was attired in a trumpet-style gown designed with a deep-V back. Gracing her head was a cathedral-length veil.
She carried a bouquet of garden roses, peonies and olive branches.
Kristin LeBlanc was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Tara Cheramie, Grace Ledet and Amy Hotard.
Bridal attendants each wore a champagne floor-length gown.
Ava Michel was flower girl.
Serving as best man was Matthew Michel. Groomsmen were James Rumfola, Cade Osburn and Adam Rhodes.
Ushering guests were Derek Kober, Ben Carter, Tyler Daigle and Gatlin Galloway.
A reception followed at The Warehouse in Rayne.
The bride’s cake was a four-tiered confection.
Prior to the wedding, the groom’s mother hosted a rehearsal dinner at Abacus in Lafayette.
The bride is a graduate of South Lafourche High School and Louisiana State University. She is works in the marketing department at Frank’s International.
The groom is a graduate of Morgan City High School and Nicholls State University. He is a registered nurse in the emergency room at Lafayette General.
They honeymooned in St. Lucia and reside in Lafayette.
