Champine-Felton exchange vows

Katy Lynn Champine and Davin Richard Felton exchanged wedding vows during a 6 p.m. double-ring ceremony Oct. 3 at the Morgan City Municipal Auditorium. The Rev. L. John Locascio was officiant.
The bride is the daughter of Angie Champine of Morgan City. The groom is the son of Dana Matherne, David and Cindy Felton, and Earl Blanco, all of Morgan City.
For the occasion, the ballroom ceiling featured draping and three chandeliers.
Escorted in marriage by her mother, the bride wore a strapless A-line gown of diamond organza designed with a sweetheart neckline adorned with lace, a bodice and skirt accented with intricate pleating and a waistline highlighted by a beaded black belt. A cathedral train accented with a beaded embroidered insert finished the look.
She carried a nosegay of Gerbera daisies and white roses with champagne ribbon tucks.
Ashley Gros was maid of honor. She wore a full-length, one-shoulder champagne gown ruched and accented by a black band at the waist. She carried a smaller version of the bride’s bouquet.
Bridesmaids were Kristin Champine, Taylor Blanco, Calli Blanco and Krista Felton.
Maddie Felton was flower girl. Rem Fromenthal was ringbearer.
Josh Gros served as best man. Groomsmen were Allen Rink, Clifton Percle, Cole Gros and Koby Felton.
Ushers were LaDon Champine and Brandon Felton.
A reception immediately followed. Guest tables were adorned with a multitude of candles and flower arrangements.
The bride’s table featured a four-tiered scalloped confection decorated with Gerbera daisies. Backdrop for the bride’s table was twinkle lights, columns and a chandelier.
The groom’s cake was a replica of a fire truck complete with lights and sound. Firefighter gear served as the backdrop.
Prior to the wedding, the groom’s mother and stepfather hosted a rehearsal dinner at The Latin Corner in Morgan City.
The bride is a graduate of Morgan City High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Nicholls State University. She is a fourth grade teacher at Raintree Elementary in Baldwin.
The groom is a graduate of Central Catholic High School in Morgan City and a graduate of LSU Fire & Emergency Training Institute. He is employed by the Morgan City Fire Department and Baker Distributing.
The couple honeymooned at Disneyworld in Orlando, Florida and reside in Morgan City.
