Hawkins-Aucoin nuptials shared

Rebecca Elena Hawkins and Cpl. Samuel Joseph Aucoin exchanged wedding vows during a 4 p.m. double-ring ceremony on June 18 at the Palisades Gazebo in Dana Point, California.
The bride is the daughter of Scott and Christina Hawkins of Yucaipa, California. The groom is the son of Terri Bishop Aucoin of Gillsburg, Mississippi and Samuel Robert Aucoin of Carencro.
For the outdoor ceremony overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the gazebo held a center crystal chandelier, and a pair of Roman columns topped with large floral bouquets that flanked the couple. Guest chairs were adorned with flowing organza sashes.
Escorted in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in an ivory bridal satin gown overlaid with ivory beaded lace. The V-neck bodice was enhanced by pearl and crystal floral designs complementing an ivory satin ribbon at the empire waist. Her trumpet skirt ended with a chapel-length train.
Gracing her head was a crystal and pearl headband to complete the look.
She carried a bouquet of coral pink roses, white miniature calla lilies, ruscus and lily grass with a coral pink ribbon wrap.
Ana Miller was her sister’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Anna Aucoin, sister of the groom; Lindsay Betancourt, cousin of the bride; and Kayleigh Hughes.
Bridal attendants each wore a long, one-shoulder dress of coral pink lace. They also wore a pearl necklace and bracelet, a gift from the bride.
They carried bouquets of coral pink roses and miniature calla lilies.
Jean-Paul Aucoin was his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were Michael Aucoin, brother of the groom; Louie Miller, brother-in-law of the bride; and Travis Mitchel.
A reception followed at The Wind and Sea Restaurant in Dana Point, California. The reception began with hors d’oeuvres followed by a three-course sit-down dinner.
The wedding cake was a three-tiered almond confection with vanilla and raspberry filling. Fresh flowers topped the cake.
Prior to the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s mother at Isabella’s Ristorante Italiano in Redlands, California. At that time, the groom presented his bride with a wedding gift of a custom-made black pearl and sterling silver necklace and earrings.
The bride is a graduate of Yucaipa High School, Crafton Hills Community College and California Baptist University. She is marketing coordinator for the YMCA of East Valley in Redlands, California.
The groom is a graduate of Teurlings Catholic High School in Lafayette. He recently completed active duties with the Marines and plans to pursue a degree in computer science.
They honeymooned at Catalina Island, California and reside in Yucaipa, California.
