Langley-Flick vows exchanged May 30

Rip Van Winkle Gardens on Jefferson Island was the setting when Courtney Mary-Frances Langley and Brennan Michael Flick were united in matrimony on May 30. The Rev. Blake Gilbert officiated the 7 p.m. double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Darrell Langley of Ragley and Martha Hamilton of Opelousas. The groom is the son of Roland and Lynnette Flick of Morgan City.
For the ceremony held on the grounds near Lake Peigneur, an old oak tree was illuminated by antique chandeliers while lanterns lined the aisle.
Escorted in marriage by her father, the bride wore a designer sheath silhouette covered in Chantilly lace accented with Swarovski crystals. The bodice featured beaded and embroidered cap sleeves and was finished with a deep V-back lined with crystals. Her sheer veil was cathedral length.
She carried a bouquet of white and ivory roses, and light blue hydrangeas accented by greenery.
Ashton Langley was maid of honor and Sarah Langley was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Brittany Guillory, Tiffany Gaspard, Rebecca Barrera, Demi Morvant and Mazi Langley.
Bridal attendants were each attired in a knee-length dress of mint blue chiffon fashioned with a scoop neck and gathered at the waist. They carried a bouquet similar to the bride’s.
Violet Busse was flower girl. She wore a gold and ivory tea-length dress featuring gold sleeveless bodice embellished with sequins and completed with a floral ivory sash. Her head was graced with a jeweled mint headband and she dropped white rose petals.
Ringbearer was Kingston Leblanc.
Best man was Salvadore Montelaro. Groomsmen were Bradley Matte, James Angelle, Ty Todd, Carmen Angelini, Brad Ratcliff and Lyle Langley.
Seth Langley was usher.
A reception followed at the Bayless Conference Center at Rip Van Winkle Gardens. The décor was rustic glamour.
The bride’s three-tiered cake featured a mint blue tier with a large buttercream flower and gold embellishments set between a top and bottom tier iced in ivory buttercream and adorned with an ivory paisley design. Topping the confection was a cursive, wooden initial “F” created by the bride’s grandfather, Warner Langley.
The groom’s cake table depicted a duck and goose hunting theme and held a carrot cake with a speck decoy.
Decorations included white candle lanterns with glitter gold wine bottles filled with white flowers. Centerpieces were tall glass cylinder vases filled with stems of white hydrangeas and gladiolus.
Prior to the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Clementine Dining & Spirits in New Iberia.
The bride is a 2009 graduate of Kinder High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2014. She is enrolled at ULM’s professional pharmacy program.
The groom graduated Central Catholic High School in Morgan City and attended Louisiana State University at Eunice from 2007-09 where he played baseball. His team won the 2008 Junior College World Series. After a four-year stint with the San Francisco Giants, he is a non-destructive testing technician.
They honeymooned at Leatherwood Mountains, North Carolina, and reside in Monroe.
