‘Wish to Fish With My Dad’ Contest set

BATON ROUGE — The Louisiana Charter Boat Association announced the launch of its “Wish to Fish With My Dad” contest, a contest that will award two full day charter fishing trips for two winners based on the submission of entries describing why they would like to fish with their dad.
The contest asks entrants to write a short narrative and submit photos and possibly videos describing a memory of fishing with their dad or on a hoped for opportunity to fish with their dad.
The term dad is loosely applied and allows entrants to include stories about a grandfather, uncle or other person of a dad-like characteristic.
“One of the greatest parts of our profession is to see memories in the making,” Louisiana Charter Boat Association Executive Director Daryl Carpenter said. “There is just something special that is built between a father and a son when they are on the water and this contest is something our Louisiana professional, licensed charter captains wanted to do to extend that opportunity to at least two winners of this contest.”
All entries can be made online at www.wishtofishdad.com. All entries will be posted to the website and to Facebook.
Entries will be judged by a panel of charter captains and by comments on Facebook. The deadline for entries is June 20.
The contest will conclude June 30.
