Bayou Vista Garden Club members attend Fall Meeting

Bayou Vista Garden Club members Donna Bucci and Jo Ann Ryan recently attended the annual District 3 Fall Meeting of the Louisiana Garden Club Federation.
The Terrebonne Garden Club hosted the meeting that was themed, “Sowing Friendships.” The event was held at the Quality Inn in Houma.
District 3 Director Ruth Delhomme presided over the business meeting. LGCF President Jeanette Gatzman reported on information received from the National Garden Club Fall Meeting held in September at the NGC Headquarters in St. Louis.
Members learned that the annual district raffle netted more than enough money to fund scholarships at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and Nicholls State University in Thibodaux.
Gina Jogan, NGC accredited floral design instructor, presented a program on the use of various forms of naturally found wood for artistic flower designs.
Drawings were held in which member received gift baskets donated by the 12 clubs in District 3. Following reports from LGFC state officers and chairmen, the meeting was adjourned.
