Bayou Vista Knights present youth awards

Bayou Vista Knights of Columbus Council 6211 recently honored Emma Marie Gray and Neal Michael Theriot Jr. as its 2015 Catholic Youth Leadership Awards Program recipients. A meal was served for awardees and their families prior to the presentation of plaques and scholarships. Gray is a member of St. Stephen Church Parish in Berwick and the daughter of Timothy and Mary Grace Gray. Theriot is a member of St. Bernadette Church Parish in Bayou Vista. He is the son of Neal and Sherry Theriot. Both students are seniors at Berwick High School. From left are Grand Knight John Trevino Sr., Gray and Theriot. The purpose of the program is to give public recognition and adult encouragement to those young Catholic adults who have well exemplified Catholic leadership in their community and outstanding achievements in high school.
