Birthday and anniversary celebrants were recognized at the September St. Mary AARP meeting.

Boudreaux honored at St. Mary AARP meeting

St. Mary Parish AARP held its monthly meeting on Sept. 12 at the St. Mary Senior Citizens Center in Morgan City.
During the meeting, Sidney Boudreaux was honored for his 101st birthday with a certificate of recognition from Gov. John Bel Edwards. Presenting the certificate was District Attorney Bo Duhe of 16th Judicial District.
The meeting and meal sponsor was Duhe. Meeting attendees were served meat loaf, mashed potatoes, peas and birthday cake. The meal was prepared by Mac and Myrt McNemar, and Pat Fryer.
Birthday and anniversary celebrants were recognized at the meeting.
Prior to the meeting, Hubert Francis entertained members and guests with dance music from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., followed by bingo until 6:15 p.m.
Also prior to the meeting, flu shots were offered to the members by Walgreens pharmacy.
