Butterfly information donated to school library

Bayou Vista Garden Club donated books to the Bayou Vista Elementary School Library recently. National Geographic’s “Flutter, Butterfly!,” “Monarchs,” by Kathryn Lasky and photographs by Christopher G. Knight, and “Gardening for Butterflies,” by Gary Noel Ross, Ph.D, were donated. Posters donated were provided by the Louisiana Garden Club Federation and include Louisiana Native Plants, Blooms of Louisiana Forests, Fruits of Louisiana Forests, Leaves of Louisiana Forests, Common Forest Plants of Louisiana, and Features of Louisiana Forest Plants. A display board, Encourage Monarchs in Your Garden, prepared by club President Donna Bucci, was also given to the library.
