Carrots from seed to sale

In an effort to encourage healthy eating, Bayou Vista Garden Club Adopt-A-School Chairman Donna Richard planned a “Healthy Eating” project for Bayou Vista Elementary School fifth-grade students. Carrot seeds were provided and planted by students in the fall, top photo. The carrots were recently harvested, middle photo, and sold during recess with proceeds going to Bayou Vista Elementary School. Club members assisting in the project were Darlene Aucoin, Jean Chauvin, Dawn Thomason and Janice Verret.
