Firmin gives construction info at Patterson Garden meeting

Jim Firmin of Firmin Architects was guest speaker for the Oct. 20 Patterson Garden Club meeting held at the home of Iris Roy.
Firmin discussed the new Patterson Junior High School that is under construction. He included a slide presentation featuring computer generated photos of the exterior and interior layout of the school.
According to Firmin, the school will be larger than first envisioned with “new space for new teaching methods” and will be wired for current and future technology. The project will be built in two phases with the first phase estimated for completion in 2017.
He also spoke in regard to the Student Assembly Space currently under construction at Hattie Watts Elementary School. Completion of that project is estimated to be December 2015 or January 2016.
