Louisiana Swamp Stomp set March 20-22

Nicholls State University will host the seventh annual Louisiana Swamp Stomp Festival, a musical celebration of south Louisiana culture, from March 20 to 22 on its campus in Thibodaux, according to the university’s news release.
The festival has been named one of March’s “Top 20 events in the Southeast” by the Southeast Tourism Society.
Visitors are invited to experience south Louisiana’s unique Cajun, Zydeco and Swamp Pop music, a variety of regional foods and presentations on local history, culture and economic development. Top cooks will perfect their roux at the annual Jumbo Gumbo Cook-Off on March 21.
There is also the annual 5K Can-Can and 1 Mile White Boot Waddle walk/run. A kids zone, arts and crafts fair and the Tresors du Bayou Educational Program, a popular attraction for thousands of primary and secondary school students, are also scheduled.
