Morgan-Verret vows exchanged June 18

Caitlin Kateri Morgan and Jamie Mark Verret exchanged wedding vows June 18 during a 1 p.m. double-ring ceremony at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Houma. The Very Rev. Vicente DeLa Cruz, J.V., officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mark and Bernardine Morgan of Gibson. The groom is the son of Mark and Patricia Verret of Morgan City.
Music for the ceremony was by Kayla Arceneaux LeBlanc, organist and vocalist.
For the ceremony, the sanctuary was enhanced with arrangements of white delphiniums and hydrangeas, gypsophila, seeded eucalyptus and dusty miller foliage. Pews were marked with vases of burlap holding white hydrangeas and gypsophila and adorned with tulle, ivory ribbon and ivory crucifixes.
Escorted in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a designer gown of satin accented with Guipure lace appliques enhanced with delicate beading. Her English net tulle skirt was softly gathered and flowed into a sweep train.
Gracing her head was a chapel-length veil of tulle.
She carried a clutch bouquet of gypsophila and dusty miller foliage complemented with a stem wrap of burlap and lace ribbon.
Heather Morgan Bauer was her sister’s matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Brook Verret DeRouen, sister of the groom; and Anna Theriot.
They each wore cold-shoulder gowns in mint green featuring a banded waist and a long, flowing skirt of chiffon.
Grace DeRouen, niece of the groom, was flower girl. Ringbearers were Winn Bauer and Wyatt Bauer, nephews of the bride.
Donovan LaCoste was best man. Groomsmen were Kiefer Liner and Taylor Mayon.
Ushers were Bradley Bauer, brother-in-law of the bride; and Lance DeRouen, brother-in-law of the groom.
A reception immediately followed at the Petroleum Club of Morgan City.
Tables were draped with champagne linen and were adorned with gypsophila, greenery, lanterns and candles. Accents throughout the venue followed a country/shabby chic décor including burlap and other designs.
The wedding cake was a four-tiered confection in almond buttercream designed with various motifs in shades of champagne. The second tier mimicked tree bark with a carved heart with the couple’s initials. The confection was set atop a personalized, rustic wooden cake stand.
Prior to the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was held at Bayou Delight Restaurant in Houma.
The bride is a 2012 graduate of Central Catholic High School in Morgan City and in 2016 she earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux. She is employed at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City.
The groom is a 2011 graduate of Morgan City High School. He is employed at A&M Dockside Repair.
They honeymooned in Estes Park, Colorado, and reside in Bayou Vista.
