National Garden Week proclaimed

St. Mary Parish District 4 Councilman Glen Hidalgo, seated right, and Bayou Vista Garden Club President Donna Bucci, seated left, signed a proclamation recently designating June 5-11 as National Garden Week. National Garden Clubs sponsor the special week to focus public attention on the programs, projects and activities promoted by garden clubs. Also on hand for the signing were, standing from left, club members Gloria Roy, Donna Richard and Janice Verret.
