Patterson Garden Club holds first meeting of year

Patterson Garden Club held its first meeting of 2015-16 on Sept. 15 at the home of Iris Roy. Co-hostesses for the meeting were Roy and Daisy LeBlanc.
Dawn Rentrop, chairman of the Patterson Lower Atchafalaya Cultural and Historic Committee, was guest speaker. She informed members of the many projects, present and future, that the Main Street Committee has been active. The beautification of the historic portion of Main Street and the development and features of Patterson’s new city park were two projects that Rentrop spoke on at length.
President Juanita Bienvenu presided over the meeting and yearbooks were distributed. A plant exchange was also held.
