Patterson Garden Club to host district meeting

Patterson Garden Club will host the Louisiana Garden Club Federation District 3 meeting Oct. 15 at the Petroleum Club in Morgan City. Theme for the annual meeting is “Raising Cane on the Bayou.”
Janet Boudreaux, retired sugar cane farmer, homemaker and caregiver, will present a personal tribute to the sugar cane industry. Boudreaux, along with her husband, Anthony, and four sons, farmed for 43 years until retirement in 2006. They were active in 4-H and the St. Mary Parish Farm Bureau.
Other special guests will include District 3 Director Roxanna Champagne, LGCF President Yvette Hebert, Patterson Mayor Rodney Grogan, and District 3 garden club members.
A luncheon will be served and door prizes will be awarded. Registration starts at 9 a.m. and the business meeting is at 10 a.m.
