Quilters guild donates to children’s home

The Bayou Belle Quilters Guild, a local quilting group that aims to provide quilts to charitable organizations, recently donated 20 quilts to the Rancho Los Amigos children’s home in Sauzal, Mexico. The home provides protection, shelter, food, education and hope to children who find themselves growing up in difficult situations. The vision of RLA is to “Reach, Raise and Restore” these needy and hurting children. Accepting the quilts on behalf of the children’s home is Dr. Darrell Solet, center, from guild President Sandra LeBlanc, left, and guild Vice President Brenda Topham.
