Recalls this week: Children’s shoes

A line of children’s shoes with sharp rivets are among this week’s recalled consumer product recalls.
Children’s Shoes
Details: Skidders Footwear children’s canvas tennis shoes sold in three sizes: 12M, 18M and 24M. They were sold at Meijer stores located in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky, and Wisconsin, from August 2016 through October 2016.
Why: The rivets on the shoes have sharp edges, posing a laceration hazard.
How many: About 5,500.
For more: Consumers should immediately take the recalled shoes away from children and contact Skidders Footwear to receive a full refund.
Fun-Karts
Details: Model year 2009 through 2015 Hammerhead Off-Road GL 150, GTS 150 and GTS Platinum fun-karts sold from August 2009 through July 2016. The recalled fun-karts have two seats and a rear cargo rack and were sold in red, black, white, orange, blue and green. “GTS” is printed on the side cage and the hood of the GTS models and “Hammerhead” is printed on the hood of the GL models. Why: The fuel tank can crack and cause the fuel to leak out, posing a fire hazard.

Projection Night Lights
Details: Color changing projection night lights with a rotating plug and dome top with LED lights that change colors from red, blue and green. “Made in China” and “0.6W 60Hz 120VAC” are etched in the plastic base of the night lights near the plug component. They were sold in LTD Commodities and The Lakeside Collection catalogs and at www.ltdcommodities.com and www.lakeside.com from July 2016 through October 2016.
Why: The night lights can short circuit, posing shock and fire hazard to consumers.
How many: About 39,000.

Clutches
Details: Two models of the G-Force CVT clutches that are aftermarket metallic, cylinder-shaped replacement clutch assemblies for use in all-terrain-vehicles and utility task vehicles. The part number, “G-FORCE” and the Gates logo are printed on the round top of the clutch. The UPC, part number and internal product number are printed on the packaging. They were sold at 3P Off Road of Tomball, Texas; Carolina Custom ATV of Apex, North Carolina; Sawgie Bottom Outdoor Powersports of Leesville, Louisiana; and Tuner Solutions of Deville, Louisiana, from March 2016 through September 2016. The recall includes part number CVTPRM001 with UPC number 770075699415 and internal product number 76920001. Also, part number CVTPRM002 with UPC number 770075701316 and internal product number 76920005.
Why: The clutch can break during operation of the vehicle and cause fragmentation and forcefully eject parts, posing laceration or impact injury hazards to the operator.
How many: About 500.
