Sacred Heart holds First Communion

SACRED HEART OF JESUS CATHOLIC Church in Baldwin held First Communion for nine candidates on Sat., Apr. 6 during the 4 p.m. mass. Rev. Matthew Amoako-Attah, a Spiritan priest from Ghana, West Africa, was the celebrant. Rev. Gregory Paul Cormier, pastor of Sacred Heart, welcomed the members into the church family and they were greeted by the congregation. Court Sacré Coeur Catholic Daughters held a reception for the First Communion recipients in Legros Hall following the mass. During the reception, the recipients met their Prayer Pals for the first time. They also received gifts from Prayer Pals, family and friends and enjoyed food, drinks and fellowship.
