St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s gumbo lunch held for Lower St. Martin seniors

Twice a year, St. Martin Parish Sheriff Ronny Theriot and his office sponsors a a luncheon of gumbo, potato salad, sweets and soft drinks at the Stephensville Elementary School gym for senior citizens in Lower St. Martin. Bingo is held and door prizes are awarded. On Jan. l8, Deputy Daisy Trimble, community services liaison; Deputy Katryn Nelson, with Crime Stoppers; Shirley Akers, with District Attorney Phil Haney’s office; Lt. Col. Terry Guidry, Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness director; Deputy Michael Roberts and Deputy Ricky Acosta were on hand for the luncheon.
