St. Mary Parish 4-H Fair results told

The 2017 St. Mary Parish 4-H Fair and Livestock Show was held Jan. 19-21 at Franklin High School.
All exhibits were displayed after Friday’s judging and then returned to 4-H’ers at their schools.
More than 550 St. Mary Parish 4-H club members took field trips to attend the fair and show.
The 2017 educational exhibits theme was “Louisiana Agriculture” and was designed to match the 2016-17 4-H educational club outreach. The stations consisted of different hands-on educational activities and presentations with the intention of sparking interest in science and agriculture.
Stations covered a variety of topics from unmanned aerial vehicles (drones), to dairy products, honeybees, Louisiana black bear, aquaculture, coastal restoration, food to table and forestry industries.
