Wilsons celebrate 67th anniversary

Paul L. Wilson Sr. and Yvonne Williams Wilson, 89 and 87, respectively, celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary on Oct. 6 at their home in Morgan City. They were married Oct. 6, 1947, in Morgan City. The life-long residents have eight children. They are Itinerant Pastor Sheena Wilson Coleman, of Naperville, Illinois; Paul Wilson Jr., of New Orleans; Valerie L. Wilson Simmons, of Morgan City; Myron J. Wilson Sr., of Lafayette; the late Jerome J. Wilson; Martin L. Wilson, of Morgan City; Kelvin M. Wilson, of Amelia; and Demetrius M. Wilson, of Patterson. The anniversary couple also has 20 grandchildren, more than 30 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He is a World War II Naval veteran and they are active members of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Morgan City.
