1 dead in vehicle crash
Police are investigating a vehicle accident that took the life of a woman Saturday morning.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire said Albert Murphy, 58, of Second Street, Franklin, was charged at 7:48 a.m. Saturday with vehicular homicide, vehicular negligent injuring, reckless operation of a vehicle, simple criminal damage to property, no driver’s license and failure to report an accident.
Murphy reportedly ran his vehicle into Franklin Junior High School on Morris Street in Franklin shortly after 3 a.m. A female passenger was ejected and died on the scene. McGuire said Murphy’s blood alcohol content was .162 percent.
The police chief said the female’s identity, age and address are unknown and police are attempting to uncover that information. Bond has not been set on Murphy.
