488 early votes cast

Early voting in St. Mary Parish got off to a brisk start Saturday, Registrar of Voters Jolene Holcomb reported.
Mail ballots accounted for 69 votes received prior to Saturday.
The opening day saw 488 early votes cast, including the mail ballots. Franklin area voters cast 261 and Morgan City area votes totaled 158.
Early voting continues through Saturday at both offices.
