Bayou Vista, Berwick investigation scene

Police blocked off La. 182 at the Berwick-Bayou Vista line around 10:30 a.m. today. Initial reports on the police scanner indicate a body was found in the ditch there. The Berwick police and fire departments, along with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Department personnel were on the scene at midday. Sheriff’s spokeswoman confirmed a body was found between Old Spanish Trail and Tournament Boulevard.
