Blessing of the Animals

The Blessing of the Animals was held Sunday, Oct. 4 at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Franklin. The pet blessing is held annually in remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi’s love for all creatures. Father Stephen Crawford of St. Mary’s blessed several pets individually, including four dogs belonging to Dr. Donna Tesi, above. The one she is holding is over 18 years old.
