Organizers of the 3rd annual Car, Truck, Motorcycle, Tractor, Special interest and Rat Rod Event for Brittany’s Project provided a fun filled day Saturday on the former Oaklawn sugar mill site northwest of Franklin. Along with rat rod races, tractor pulls, lawn mower races and monster trucks, there were plenty of craft vendors and live bands as well as a petting zoo, story teller, face painting, magician and a kiddie train. Brittany’s Project, named after Brittany Saucier who has Down syndrome, is raising funds to build a facility for individuals with disabilities to enjoy life through recreation, social events and support.
