Brittany’s Project fifth event slated

Brittany’s Project’s fifth annual fundraiser event is set for March 18-19 at the project’s homesite on the Oaklawn Bridge approach.
The customary cruise through downtown Franklin is set late Friday afternoon and the band Old Soul will perform on Teche Drive.
On Saturday, rat rod races, tractor sled pulls and mud pit competitions are on tap. There will be vendors, the Kiddie Koral, a pin-up contest, longest beard contest, and live bands from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. featuring the Yum Yum Band from 10:30 a.m. to noon; Will Cooper Band from 1-3 p.m.; Bayou Classics from 5-7 p.m. and Bad Boyz from 7:30-9:30 p.m.
Groundbreaking ceremonies for the project’s new facility is at noon.
Competition pre-registration is $25 in advance by March 10.
