Chamber of Commerce legislative luncheon is Wednesday

The St. Mary Parish Chamber will host its annual legislative luncheon beginning at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Petroleum Club of Morgan City on Roderick Street.
State Rep. Sam Jones, D-Franklin, Rep. Joe Harrison, R-Gray, and state Sen. Bret Allan, R-Franklin, have been invited to attend.
The session that ended Thursday was especially interesting for business people, many of whom feel the state budget was balanced on their backs. The chamber post-mortem may be notable for the reaction of local businesspeople to the session as well as for the lawmakers’ analysis.
