University Medals
Two students from Berwick were among 64 University Medal recipients during Louisiana State University’s spring 2016 commencement.
The medals are awarded to undergraduates who earn the highest grand point averages.
The Berwick recipients are Casey Marie LeBlanc, College of Science; and Anne Lee Parsiola, College of Science.

Gray gets degree from CSU Fresno
Bregan Lonnie Gray, a native of Morgan City and resident of Lafayette and Fresno, California, graduated with a Master of Science degree in industrial technology engineering at California State University Fresno’s commencement last month.
While at Fresno State, Gray received a Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Academic Achievement in the Department of Industrial Technology.
He’s a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity Inc. He completed his final presentation on a type of crop cam; it illustrates finite element analysis, a type of computer program that uses the finite element to analyze materials or objects and find how applied stresses will affect materials or designs. The type can be used in aerospace and other high-stress applications.
Gray is a 2009 graduate of Comeaux High School in Lafayette and a 2013 graduate of UL Lafayette with a Bachelor’s Degree in industrial technology. He is the son of Lonnie Gray of Morgan City and Olanda Williams Gray of Lafayette. His maternal grandparents are Lillie Payne-Ruffin and the late James Payne of Morgan City. His paternal grandparents are the late Frank Gray Sr. and Ezilda T. Gray of Morgan City.
