Drop off Santa letters at City Hall

The City of Franklin has placed a mailbox in front of city hall to help get letters to the North Pole in time for Christmas. Last year city employee Emily Hidalgo made a cardboard mailbox, but this year she wanted an authentic one made of metal. After finding a photo of what she had in mind she contacted Karl Young, Young Memorial Vocational campus administrator, who passed it along for construction by Ronald Sanchez. The city purchased the materials and Sara Hidalgo painted the finished box and applied the lettering. The letters to Santa will be taken until Dec. 18.
