FFH finances dip

Finances at Franklin Foundation Hospital took a dip in the month of May with a $155,555 loss, according to Chief Financial Officer Ron Bailey.
Bailey delivered the financial report to Hospital Service District Board of Commissioners during its monthly meeting Thursday.
With the deficit the bottom-line surplus is $477,353 through eight months of the fiscal year.
In other business the board:
—Heard from acting Chief Executive Officer Craig Cudworth that the hospital has been recognized by Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems as a best performer in small hospital pain management and most improved in small hospital responsiveness.
—Was introduced to Jim Bakken, interim clinic manager.
—Approved the credentials committee meeting minutes as presented by chief of staff Dr. Donna Tesi. The minutes noted the initial appointment of Dr. Kennan Buechter as active medical staff in general surgery.
