Finally, a break from cold and icy

Roger Erickson, warning coordination meteorologist with the National Weather Service, Lake Charles, reports:
The National Weather Service in Lake Charles is expecting a warming trend over the next 7 days, with minimal rain chances — only around 20 percent or late Monday into Tuesday, and again next Thursday. High temperatures will be in the 60s this weekend, and will be in the lower 70s next week. Patchy fog could be a problem in the early morning hours this weekend into next week. Long range projections indicate above normal temperatures are forecasted for the next two weeks — so we finally get a break from the cold and icy conditions we’ve seen recently.
