First baby

The first baby born into the new year at Teche Regional Medical Center was Aiyana Janae Guy, daughter of Jamasian Guy of Jeanerette. Aiyana was born at 5:48 a.m. Wednesday and weighed 6 pounds, 1 ounce. Guy said, “I was in labor roughly 17 hours into the early morning of New Year’s Day when Aiyana arrived.” Aiyana was delivered by Dr. Nsikan St. Martin.
