Former Dauterive Hospital new IBMC North Campus

Iberia Medical Center has reopened the former Dauterive Hospital facility and renamed it Iberia Medical Center North Campus.
The reopening was announced at a ribbon cutting event and sign unveiling held on the North Campus on May 13. IMC Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, David W. Groner, and IMC Chief Executive Officer Parker Templeton presided over the ceremony attended by several hundred local dignitaries, officials, members of the community and hospital physicians and staff.
“This is an important day for the many communities serviced by Iberia Medical Center,” Templeton said. “From our roots when we first opened in 1960 to today, where we now serve as a two campus medical center, our original focus has not changed…that being the improvement of the health and quality of life for all in our community.”
IMC’s Chief Operating Officer, Shane Myers, will serve as the North Campus administrator. A broad range of health services will eventually be offered at the IMC North Campus. As of today, IMC North is offering outpatient imaging, lab and surgery services without overnight stays. In the summer of 2016, inpatient surgery will be added and in the fall of 2016, inpatient behavioral health services for adults 50 years and older will be introduced.
Templeton recognized the support of several individuals and businesses in the development of the IMC North Campus project, including: Nick Gachassin, legal counsel; Craig Tolbert with Dixon Hughes; Chris Carnhan with The Carnhan Group; Rick Lipscomb with WHLC Architecture; and Jason Akers with Foley & Judell.
Iberia Medical Center North Campus joins the IMC family of physician clinics and a rural health clinic in Jeanerette in serving parish residents. Over 100 physicians and more than 700 staff and employees serve in the delivery of vital healthcare services to the community.
