Franklin council meets tonite

Franklin City Council members meet tonight in regular session for July.
A slew of candidates for 16th Judicial District Judge are slated to address the council.
Guests also include Sherri Feemster and Davis Jahncke, Jahncke Architects, and Takisha Welsh with the Alpha of Charisma organization.
Ordinances include a speed limit change on Augustine Maze Street to 15 miles per hour for introduction, and another for adopion regulating canvassers, solicitors and peddlers.
There is a resolution authorizing the mayor to hire Jahncke & Burns Architects for renovations of the third floor at city hall for the governor’s archives project.
Mayor Raymond Harris is slated to recommend appointment of Herbert “Trey” C. Ibert to the zoning board of adjustments.
The council meets at 6 p.m. at city hall on Iberia Street.
