Franklin Stars claim District Titles with perfect records

THIBODAUX _ For the first time in recent history, all four Franklin’s Dixie Youth All-Star teams have claimed District Championships with undefeated records.
Franklin’s 8’s, 10s, 11s and 12s all will advance after claiming District Championships with flawless records.
Franklin’s 8-year-old All-Stars will advance the State Tournament in West Monroe which is set for July 7-10.
Franklin won the District 3-AA Title with a perfect 4-0 record in the District Tournament held at Caffery Park.
Franklin’s 10s, 11s, and 12s all won their District Championships with perfect records in District Tournaments at Peltier Park in Thibodaux.
Franklin’s 10s will move on from District to play in Thibodaux to Regionals in Morgan City on July 15-19.
Franklin 10s opened District Tournament action with an 11-2 triumph over Patterson on July 1 in Thibodaux. On Saturday, July 2, Franklin 10s beat Thibodaux 14-2. On Sunday, the Franklin 10s edged past Patterson 4-3 to win the District Championship.
Franklin’s 11s boys will move on from District Tournanent action to State on July 8-10 in Concordia.
Franklin 11s beat Thibodaux 14-4 in the District Tournament opener on Friday, On Saturday, the Franklin 11s turned back Morgan City by a final score of 12-2. On Sunday, the Franklin 11s won the District Championship following a 16-6 victory over Morgan City.
Franklin’s 12s boys will move on from District Tournament action to play Regionals in Bayou Vista on July 15-19.
Franklin 12s beat Thibodaux 21-3 in the district opener before coasting to a 3-1 triumph over Patterson in Saturday’s action. Franklin 12s toppled Thibodaux by a score of 14-4 to seize the District Championship on Sunday in Thibodaux.
All four of Franklin’s All-Star teams (8s, 10s, 11s and 12s) all went undefeated in district for the first time in recent history.
