Funeral for Mayci Breaux will be Monday

The funeral for Mayci Breaux, one of the two women killed Thursday in the Lafayette theater shooting, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, according to the Ibert's Mortuary website.
The Mass of Christian burial will be at the Church of the Assumption in Franklin, Breaux's hometown, with the Rev. Lloyd Benoit officiating.
A gathering of relatives and friends will be 5-9 p.m. Sunday at Ibert's Mortuary, 1007 Main St., Franklin. The Cursillo Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m., led by the Franklin Men's Ultreya Group. Visiting hours will resume at Ibert's at 8 a.m. Monday and continue until 10:30 a.m.
The funeral for a second victim, Jillian Johnson, will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Delhomme's Funeral Home in Lafayette.
Nine other people were wounded Thursday when John "Rusty" Houser, described by police as a drifter from Alabama and by media reports as a man troubled by mental illness and violent tendencies, opened fire during a Thursday night showing of "Trainwreck" at the Grand 16 Theater on Johnston Street in Lafayette. Houser shot and killed himself at the scene.
