Half-hour power outage in Morgan City

Electrical power was out for about 40 minutes in parts of Morgan City after lightning hit a static line according to Morgan City Utilities Director Bill Cefalu.
The hit to the static line resulted in the breaker on the Second Street Feeder to kick off. Power was lost in the area from Onstead to Greenwood streets and Second to Front streets, he said.
After the static line was reconnected, the breaker was able to be activated.
